After an hour on the “Frecciarossa” (Italy’s express train), I was already savoring what would come next. The world famous Neapolitan pizza. I stepped out of the train on a Saturday morning in the middle of October to find a sort of beautiful chaos ruling the southern city of Naples. There were pedestrians challenging the cars and walking among them. Vehicles taking the traffic signals (if there were any) for granted; resulting in a disarray of cars, vespas, and taxis going in all (and unclear) directions. A nation divided... and brought together by our food

I was born and raised in Venezuela. I spent 16 years of my life in that country and I still carry it in my heart. Even so, there are many ways in which I do not share the Venezuelan customs, there are many ways in which I do not share their values or traditions. I no longer understand all of the slang, and when I am sitting in a table full of Venezuelans I somehow feel out of place.
